Here is mid shot of the lead character, using direct mode of address to engage with audience, this image is going to be the focal point of either the poster or the film magazine front cover. The lead has dark clothing on to great a sense of darkness behind the character, fitting with the genre of the main production the trailer. In the image i have used low key light the left of the lead, to create a shadow on his face, depicting a dark and light side to his face, suggesting the person he is within the trailer. The idea for this image was taken from the Skyfall poster., which shows bond with direct mode, dark clothing and lighting on one side of the face, as like out own image.
Same low key lighting also used in this image, with the characters convey direct mode of address with the audience to make a connection with them. This image is going to be used as the front cover of the film magazine. The body position makes the character seen strong in both appearance and presence, as well as reflecting the characters personality.
The same shot but taken in landscape, the make wider use of the background behind and to have the option for the movie poster to be in landscape with other images behind.
Same but from further away.
Mid shot of the leads torso and face, with the image being used as the movie poster main image, with the lead direct mode of address being very dominant within this picture.
Another mid shot of the lead with more emphasis on facial expression and body positioning.
All images where taken using a Cannon 550D, with the set up we have in our Media room.
